Free Continuing Education

The 2022 Medical & Health Symposium is a free, world-class award winning educational opportunity. The Symposium offers continuing education for many health care and legal professions.

New this year we are seeking continuing education approval for all symposium sessions over the three-day event from all the continuing education professions below. While we are requesting approval, these submissions are not a guarantee that each sessions will be approved by the governing board.

Continuing Education Approvals

    Continuing education approvals for the following professions are listed below.

          Athletic Trainer (AT) ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Attorney, judge, and legal professional (CLE)ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Certified case manager (CCM) ALL SESSION APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Chemical dependency counselor (CDC) 8 SESSIONS APPROVED (10 HOURS: Session Numbers 4701, 4702, 4802, 4804, 4805, 4901, 4902, 4905)
          Certified disability management specialist (CDMS) ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Certified medical assistant (CMA-AAMA) - ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Certified professional coder (CPC) ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC)ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Chiropractic (DC) There are symposium courses that are acceptable for Chiropractic CE, please refer to Board rule 4734-7-02 to determine which specific courses apply.
          Dentist (DDS and DMD) and Dental Hygienist (RDH) AGD Fellowship/Mastership credit. Ohio Dental Board Accepted 18 HOURS
          Licensed professional counselor (LPC, LPCC) 13 SESSIONS APPROVED (16 HOURS) SESSION 4801 WAS NOT APPROVED
          Licensed social worker (LSW, LISW) 13 SESSIONS APPROVED (16 HOURS) SESSION 4801 WAS NOT APPROVED
          Nurse (APRN, LPN, and RN) ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Occupational therapist (OT) and occupational therapist assistant (OTA) ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Paramedic, AEMT, EMT, EMR ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Pharmacist (ACPE) ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (1.8 CREDITS)
          Physical therapist (PT) and physical therapist assistant (PTA) ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Physician – (D.O., DPM, M.D., and PA – CME) ALL SESSIONS APPROVED (18 HOURS)
          Psychology (OPA-MCE) ALL SESSION APPROVED (18 HOURS)

How to receive a Certificate of Attendance?

1. Arrive at each session on time. Sessions open fifteen minutes prior to session begin time.

2. Attend the session, including question & answer portion. 

3. Complete a Session Survey for each session attended.

4. Complete the Overall Symposium Event Feedback.

5. Download certificate of attendance from the site.

6. Full continuing education details will be included in the Medical & Health Symposium Event Guide.

Conflict of Interest

Some session presenters may have a declared or perceived conflict of interest due to their commercial involvement with the subject matter they present. The presenters have taken measures to ensure their presentations are free of commercial influence and bias or partiality toward a specific product or service from which the presenter or his/her employer could financially benefit.
