Thursday, May 4

We kick-off Thursday with three sessions presented by BWC experts dedicated to occupational medicine and rendering care to employees injured in work-related accidents. Then in the afternoon, the focus is on disability etiquette and inclusion and Dr. Anthony Iton closes the day with a session titled, Changing the Odds for Health Equity – Does Your Zip Code Matter, which will provide a better understanding of health equity and social determinants of health.


Friday, May 5

You won’t want to miss a live shoulder surgery with Drs. Westerheide and Mileti Friday morning followed by a session led by Dr. Jonathan Karnes as he explains the spine’s anatomy, physiology, and recovery after an injury. The afternoon is filled with three impactful sessions on exploring arthritis and hand injuries with Dr. Gowda, identifying legal concepts in occupational medicine, and the final session of the day is Choosing Empathy and Compassion When Change Chooses You presented by Scott Lesnick.


Saturday, May 6

We dedicate this entire day’s curriculum to mental health and wellness. We start with a session titled Speaking Up and Speaking Out About Mental Health, followed by a session on Overcoming Stereotypes and the Stigma of Mental Illness. The third session, Facing Your Fears and Building Mental Strength, is presented by Amy Morin, LCSW.

Join us in the afternoon for Nurturing Mental Health – Feed Your Mental Wellness with Dr. Drew Ramsey. Prior to our final session of the day, join a panel discussion with the day’s speakers and moderator Tony Coder on Connecting the Pieces Together and Creating Hope. End the Symposium with motivational speaker Charles Clark and learn how to Rise to Your Best Self – Lead, Take Control, and Win!
