Continuing Education Details by Type

Please see the continuing education approval details below for each professional license type. Approved sessions are different for each professional license type and come from various governing boards and agencies. Your certificate/transcript will have all required disclosure details on the back pages. 

Please Note: Due to a session cancellation, replacement session #1 on Friday Morning..."How BWC is working for you",  is not approved for any continuing education credit.

• Athletic trainer (AT) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with Athletic Trainers Section of the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board
  
• Attorney, judge, and legal professional (CLE) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with Supreme Court of Ohio
• Certified case manager (CCM) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours approval with Commission for Case Management Certification
• Certified disability management specialist (CDMS) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with Certified Disability Management Specialists Commission
• Certified health education specialist (CHES, MCHES - NCHEC) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 contact hours (CECH) with the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC).
• Certified medical assistant (CMA-AAMA) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with American Association of Medical Assistants
• Certified professional coder (CPC) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with American Association of Professional Coders also download the Attendee Code Card
• Certified public accountant (CPA) - MHS meets NASBA standards for CPE
• Certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification
• Chemical dependency counselor (CDC) - 11 sessions approved up to 11 hours with Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board (Session 1401 not approved)
• Chiropractor (DC) - 11 sessions approved up to 11.5 hours with Ohio State Chiropractic Board (Session 1503 not approved)
  
• Dentist (DDS and DMD) - AGD has approved BWC for approved program provider status
• Dental hygienist (RDH) - AGD has approved BWC for approved program provider status
• Health Information Management (AHIMA) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with American Health Information Management Association 
• Licensed professional counselor (LPC, LPCC) - Ohio council social worker, marriage family therapist shall consider MHS approved provided the subject matter is relevant to the professions license 4757-9-05
  
• Licensed social worker (LSW, LISW) -Ohio council social worker, marriage family therapist shall consider MHS approved provided the subject matter is relevant to the professions license 4757-9-05
• Marriage & family therapist (MFT) -Ohio council social worker, marriage family therapist shall consider MHS approved provided the subject matter is relevant to the professions license 4757-9-05
• Nurse (APRN, LPN, and RN) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 contact hours with American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation
• Occupational therapist (OT) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with Occupational Therapy Section of the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board
• Occupational therapy assistant (OTA) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with Occupational Therapy Section of the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board 
• Ocularist, Optician, Optometrist (OD) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with Vision Professionals Board
• Paramedic, AEMT, EMT, EMR - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with GPHEC and Paramedic Network
• Pharmacist (ACPE) - 11 sessions approved up to 1.15 contact hours with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (Session 1304 not approved)
• Physical therapist (PT) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with the Ohio Physical Therapy Association
• Physical therapy assistant (PTA) -12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with the Ohio Physical Therapy Association
• Physician – D.O., DPM, M.D., and PA (CME) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
• Psychologist (OPA-MCE) - 12 sessions approved up to 12.5 hours with Ohio Psychological Association
