Through calls, chats and texts, 988 provides free, around-the-clock support to Ohioans in crisis by connecting them with a trained contact specialist that will help at the moment it’s needed most. Another key crisis service is Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS). Through MRSS, family members, teachers or other caregivers can support youth and young adults under the age of 21 who are experiencing difficulties or distress. The young person will receive assistance within 60 minutes after contacting MRSS and up to 42 days of intensive, in-home services and linkage to ongoing supports. The MRSS Call Line is 1-888-418-MRSS (6777).
