Terrence Welsh, M.D., CPE, Dr. Welsh served as Medical Advisor to the Ohio Industrial Commission from 2007 through 2014 and then from 2020 until the present. He has also served as Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Medical Affairs for regional health care systems in Ohio and eastern Kentucky, as well as Chief Medical Officer for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. Dr. Welsh’s clinical practice is in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR). He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Marquette University and his doctorate in medicine at the University of Cincinnati. After residency, he attained board certification in PMR and Electroneurodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Welsh managed a physician-driven private practice for over 25 years. Throughout his clinical and administrative careers, his passion has been continuous quality improvement through engagement of health care teams in producing evidence-based patient care outcomes and exceptional patient experience.
