Andrew Sas, M.D., Dr. Andrew Sas is an Assistant Professor at the Ohio State University (OSU). Dr. Sas is a clinician scientist who splits his time between translational research and clinical care in the field of traumatic brain injury (TBI). He completed his M.D. and Ph.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina and then went to the University of Michigan to complete his residency in Neurology where he served as chief resident in his final year. He completed a fellowship in sports neurology and traumatic brain injury at the University of Michigan. He came to OSU in 2019 where he treats patients in the clinic who have suffered traumatic brain injuries and does research on modulating the immune response after traumatic brain injury. His lab has been continually funded by the NIH since completing residency to develop immunotherapies for TBI.
