Kina Hart
When a workplace injury becomes a life-altering injury, the impact extends far beyond the job site.

In this powerful session, Kina Hart brings her firsthand experience to the forefront —challenging medical professionals to see safety through the eyes of a survivor. With compelling storytelling and clinical relevance, Kina delivers a gripping reminder of why prevention, communication, and proactive care matter.

A must-hear perspective for anyone committed to protecting workers’ health and improving outcomes.

Ian Burkhart
From paralysis to possibility — meet the man who rewired the future.

At just 19, Ian Burkhart’s life changed in an instant after a diving accident left him with a C5 spinal cord injury. But what followed is nothing short of historic. As the first person to regain hand movement through an implanted brain–computer interface, Ian became a trailblazer in neurotechnology, restoring motion using only his thoughts.

His story isn’t just about cutting-edge science — it’s about grit, hope, and redefining what’s possible.

Don’t miss Ian’s remarkable journey of resilience and innovation.

Easton LaChappelle
Turned teenage curiosity into world-changing innovation

Easton LaChappelle at just 14, built a working robotic hand from LEGO parts, fishing wire, and tubing — an early spark that became a fully 3D-printed, brain-controlled prosthetic arm by the time he founded Unlimited Tomorrow at 18. Easton set out to develop affordable, lifelike alternatives — equipping his company to deliver personalized, mind-controlled limbs for a fraction of the cost.

His mission — making cutting-edge prosthetics accessible to all — is reshaping how we think about engineering, empathy, and the future of assistive technology.

Rebekah Gregory
Survivor of the Boston Marathon bombing – The terrorism act that claimed her leg, but could not claim her spirit

Rebekah Gregory’s story is one of profound courage and transformation. On April 15, 2013, she was standing just three feet behind her five-year-old son at the Boston Marathon finish line when a bomb exploded. Shielding him with her body, she absorbed the blast, suffering horrific injuries that led to the amputation of her left leg after dozens of surgeries.

From that devastating moment, Rebekah emerged as a powerful voice of resilience — running the Boston Marathon on a prosthetic leg, confronting her attacker in court, and founding Rebekah’s Angels Foundation to provide trauma-focused support to children and families.

Her journey illuminates the strength of the human spirit and the promise of purpose born from pain.
